How do you seduce a shark?
While many competitors fish in the same pond – constantly fighting each other on price and speed – Techsharks looks elsewhere. They fish in an ocean. Not a small space with scarce fish, but a vast sea full of driven technical specialists. Hungry sharks, who have come to the right place at Techsharks. “Our goal is to be the best employer for ambitious engineers in the process and manufacturing industries,” says CEO Jeroen Tijink.

To feed those sharks, to give ambitious operators, mechanics, and machine builders what they need, Techsharks is fully committed to training and development. Tijink: “Many companies overthink things. The key to finding and retaining people lies in how you treat them. We are not a traditional staffing agency, but position ourselves as a committed employer that continuously investigates what its people need. In the case of professionals in the process and manufacturing industries, that need lies in training and development, in order to further develop the companies where they work. But they also need cool work and challenging assignments. With, of course, appropriate compensation and solid employment conditions. That is how we entice our sharks, and we want to be the best employer for them.”
So, what Techsharks is performing is not a simple trick, but a clear vision they put into practice daily. “Just recently, we hired 100 technicians in a short time, and that in a so-called tight market. So I don't believe in the latter,” says Tijink, “talking about shortages and scarcity is often a weak excuse. Then you are blaming the market for something. In the event of scarcity, I would look directly at myself: what am *I* doing wrong?”

Improve Marketing Automation
To take Techsharks’ Marketing Automation to the next level, they partnered with UP last year. Suzanne van der Horst, Brand Manager at Techsharks, explains: “UP now acts as an extension of our marketing department. Together, we have mapped out the customer journey from A to Z, where marketing is responsible for conveying our message and bringing people in.”
And our promise team for subsequently binding and engaging them. UP helps us entice technical specialists, initially with content.” In this regard, Van der Horst is particularly struck by UP’s shrewd approach. “They spoke face-to-face with just about everyone within our organization and conducted a very thorough analysis of all our business units. Ultimately, this resulted in clear agreements and plans.”

Finally, UP helps Techsharks not only on the candidate side, but also on the client side. Van der Horst: “We are now also focusing strongly on business-to-business. So that all potential clients know that Techsharks is the place to be for facilitating their flexible workforce of ambitious specialists.”
